Pink Store Meadowhall Visit

9th January 2018

Today I also visited the PINK store in Meadowhall, I was the only visiter there at the time but this was on a Tuesday around 12:30pm and their target audience may have been back to school or college therefore their business will have dipped. The two stores were connected as you could go straight into PINK from VS. Straight away you notice a complete change in atmosphere as you walk in. It's a lot more GEN Z and very playful, fun and full of pinks and brights. The lighting was a lot brighter and the music was very Gen Z orientated. There were no signs of models or 'angels' across the store. This brand steers away from 'sexy' and 'seductive' and advertises for more 'comfy' and 'fun'.
As you went through the archway of VS, you were greeted with pink polka dots, LOVE PINK writing all along the shop walls and comfort bras galore. You can see from this that patterns, logo love and comfort are the main focus of this brand. PINK is a lot more laid back in terms of the style of lingerie.
Some of the bra's were lacy but with a lot of neutrals colours and a lot were non-wired or padded bras and had a huge push on comfort. Bras were accompanied by comfy style crush velvet pj's as well as sparkly water bottles. You can see the model display has the on brand pink polka dots coinciding with the branding on the walls.

PINK branding was on around 80% of the branding of the lingerie, loungewear and nightwear across the store. Models are styled very casually with a tie in the t-shirt and underwear paid with trainers to give a very laid back look. The colour scheme and whole theme give a target audience indicator of around 16-18.
Bra's seemed to have a simple 'T-shirt' bra style with patterns, logo love and bold colours to advertise this to a younger audience.
